Huntington County has had one of the strongest released time programs for Christian Education in our country. The Huntingtonn County School Corporation recently went throughf a court case regarding litigation from the ACLU and a parent regarding the constitutionality of the school corportation permitting Bible trailers to be placed on school property for the Bible program. This bible program is for third and fouth grade students to attend one hour a week. This is optional for students and parents must give consent. In Huntington County approximately 95 percent of all elibible students elect to participate in the Bible training program. The Associated Churches support the "By the Book" weekday religious program and there are now trailers close to every elementary school in Huntington County. The trailers are located on private or municipal property. Volunteers provide transportation from the school to the bible trailers and back to the school.
